Liannex is a major thermal coal supplier in South and Southeast Asia, trading a traditional average of 2 million metric tons of coal annually. The large majority and experience of our team is centered in Sumatra; the 2012 annual traded tonnage was approximately 3 million tons of sub-1% sulfur, bituminous steam coal.

PT Bukit Asam
We have been trading PT. Bukit Asam coal since 1995/6. PTBA is a premier coal producer and Indonesian state company. Production and export figures in 2012—amid a poor market—reached 16.5 million tons on revenues of 1.1 billion dollars. The total in-situ reserves for its mines in Sumatra stand at approximately 7 billion tons of Newcastle-index premier market products.
