Bus Manufacture & Engineering
In 2005 with the assistance of CDGE, Liannex built the first locally designed city bus on the Volvo B7R chassis for the Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) in Singapore. Liannex met and exceeded SDC performance benchmarks and performance indicators leading to subsequent commissions for similar buses. In addition to the city bus, SDC commissioned theme vehicles such as the Mosquito Truck for the Siloso museum, Bendy buses and general open-top double-decker buses. More than 500 Liannex-manufactured passengers buses are in operation in Singapore today.
The 2012 annual production slate numbered approximately 100 units. Liannex licenses the latest European designs and moulds, including Arcol, Mercedes 0404, Volvo, Toyota, Master 36, Travego 18 and Kassbohrer. Liannex assembled products have also been exported to the regional neighbors of Malaysia and Hong Kong.
Maintenance, Refurbishment & Repair
Liannex provides and post-sales services to maintain, refurbish and repair buses sold directly as well as third-party buses. The workforce is approximately 100 strong with 70 workers highly-skilled, with more than 3 years experience. In 2012–2013, Liannex was awarded work from SMRT to refurbish 65 Bendy units; our workforce is otherwise currently mainly dedicated to CDGE Defu where we are undertaking the project-manufacture of 550 units of SBST Double-Decker buses.
Accreditations
Liannex attained ISO 9001:2000 "Project Management in the Supply of Motor Vehicles (Buses and Trucks)" quality management accreditation in 2001. Liannex is a quality-driven enterprise that integrates quality policies as well as focussing on employee skill development to continually increase the productivity and efficiency of operations processes.
